Four children drown in Khanh Hoa
Four children aged 5-7 in Khanh Hoa Province drowned on Wednesday in a pond, a local newspaper reported. The children reportedly strayed into a deep section of water, which one was able to escape to swim to shore and call for help. Khanh Hoa authorities commemorate 64 Gac Ma naval martyrs

(Photo: VNA) Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The authorities of the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa and local armed forces gathered on March 14 to pay tribute to 64 naval officers and soldiers who lost their lives in a battle to protect Gac Ma (Johnson South) Reef in Vietnam’s Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago three decades ago. They offered flowers and incense at the monument dedicated to Gac Ma soldiers built in Cam Lam district to show their gratitude to the heroes who bravely defended Vietnam’s sacred sea and island sovereignty and died with honour on March 14, 1988. The decision was announced at a meeting in Hanoi on March 6 between FLC and Airbus. “After painstakingly studying all options, FLC Group and Bamboo Airways decided to order 24 aircrafts from Airbus until 2025. Based on operating and testing performance, we will seek more ways for further cooperation”, said the group’s chairman Trinh Van Quyet.
