Currently, nearly 40 tourism business units are eligible to reopen their activities, and five accommodations are qualified to serve guests, bringing the total number of tourist accommodations in the locality to 81, including nine hotels that received a rating of 1-5 stars. Additionally, Ben Tre granted three domestic travel service business licenses, bringing the total number of licensed travel service operators to 24. The local tourist sector mainly concentrates on tourism products inherent in historical culture, ecological conditions and community tourism products. Accordingly, a new decree, coded 38/2022/ND-CP, on raising the regional minimum wage for labourers will come into effect on July 1. The 6 percent increase is equivalent to a rise of 260,000 VND (11.20 USD) in Region 1, and 240,000 VND, 210,000 VND, and 180,000 VND in Regions 2, 3, and 4, respectively. The document to this effect also specifies that the minimum hourly wage will range from 15,600 to 22,500 VND, which also depends on the region. EDPR has reached an agreement with Trina Solar, the world-leading PV and smart energy total solution provider, to acquire the Trung Son Solar PV project in Khanh Hoa province. Put into operation in December 2020, the project has a power purchase agreement (PPA) signed with Electricity of Vietnam under a 20-year feed-in tariff (FiT). In June, EDPR also inked a deal to scoop up two solar plants in Vietnam with a total capacity of 200MW from Xuan Thien Group. Situated in Ninh Thuan province, the two solar plants have been operated since 2020. The deals have an estimated valuation of $284. Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in Southeast Asia with power demand increasing at around 10 per cent per annum. It would cost about VND 1.20 trillion (USD 52.18 million) to fill the Nui Beo open-cast coal mine pit in Ha Long City after closure. Nui Beo used to be the biggest open cast coal source in Ha Long City with an average annual output of five million tonnes. Ngo The Phiet, director of Nui Beo Coal Joint Stock Company under the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group said that they are planning to fill the mined area. "The two pits are some 125 metres deep in Ha Tu Ward, Ha Long City," he said. "We may need some 30 million cubic metres of soil to fill these two pits." The official estimated that the work would cost VND 1.20 trillion (USD 52.18 million) and last until 2030.
