The ceramic works , created by Vietnamese artisan Nguyen Hung and Huong Viet Ceramic Company, include a sculpture of a toad and a carved and embossed ceramic plate. They have been recognised as the largest ceramic sculpture of a mythical creature and the largest carved ceramic plates, respectively. The sculpture of the toad, measuring 173.5cm in length, 110cm in width and 77.8cm in height, was made of clay and a unique enamel. Guinness World Records on Tuesday awarded certificates for his works, 'Phu Quy Man Duong' and 'Thiem Thu Thien Phong An.’ Weighing 400kg and measuring 137cm across, 'Phu Quy Man Duong,' the world’s largest carved ceramic plate, has carved images of cedar trees, peacocks, mountains, and the sun. The World Records Union (WorldKings) and the Vietnam Record Association (VietKings) have awarded Vietnam’s and world's records to the Mekong Delta province of Ben Tre for a cooking performance of 222 dishes made of coconut. 55 cooks divided into 11 groups took responsibilities for choosing materials, processing, food arranging, carving, and garnishing to create dishes with Ben Tre coconut flavor, said Chairwoman of the provincial People’s Committee, Nguyen Thi Be Muoi. The diverse mix of coconut and different materials along with the creativity in processing and cooking created unique, delicious, and healthy dishes. The History Museum of the central province of Thua Thien - Hue on June 27 held a ceremony to announce the national and world records for the local Phu Dien Cham Tower, as it has been recognised the first ancient Cham tower sinking deep under the coastal sand dunes to be excavated and preserved in Vietnam and the world. An over 1,000-year-old Cham tower in the central Vietnamese province of Thua Thien-Hue has been recognized as the world’s first ancient brick Cham tower buried deep under the coastal sand dunes to have been excavated and preserved. Vietnam’s 222 coconut-based dishes set world record
On Monday, more than 55 chefs divided into 11 teams participated in an event to process hundreds of coconut-based delicacies in Ben Tre to set a world record in commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the birth of the Vietnamese cultural celebrity Nguyen Dinh Chieu (1822-1888), whose hometown was Ben Tre. The delicacies are made from different parts of the coconut tree, including coconut palm heart, shredded coconut, desiccated coconut, coconut milk, coconut water and sprouted coconut. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi, vice chairwoman of Ben Tre, said this was a great pride of Ben Tre people and the world record helps to promote its culture and tourism image to international visitors. Semi-automated offside technology will be used at this year's World Cup, promising decisions that are more accurate and a lot quicker, world soccer's governing body FIFA said on Friday. (Source: VGP) Ben Tre (VNA) - The World Records Union ( WorldKings ) and the Vietnam Records Organisation ( Vietkings ) on July 1 recognised “Nguyen Dinh Chieu thi tuyen” (Collection of Nguyen Dinh Chieu’s Poems), a calligraphy book on poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu as the largest calligraphy book in Vietnamese of poet Chieu's poems in the world. The book's author, Vu Dang Hoc, was honoured as the maker of the largest calligraphy book on poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu in the world. The book, measuring 1.8m x 1.4m with an iron base and weighing 500 kilogrammes, was created by calligrapher Vu Dang Hoc to celebrate the 200th birth anniversary of poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu (1822-2022).
