Last night, Viettel FC faced Kuala Lumpur City (Malaysia) in the regional semi-final at Thong Nhat Stadium (HCM City). The host Viettel FC entered the game with confidence. In the first half, Viettel FC created many chances, but none of them were relevant. The visitors remained solid with their stout defense. In the second half, Viettel started pushing forward and tried to find a way to score. In the 87th minute, Viettel’s Nham Manh Dung had a powerful shot outside of the 16m50 line, but his shot was slightly off target. After 90 minutes the game ended in a goalless draw and continued with 30 minutes of extra time, but still no goal was scored. The two teams entered the intense penalty shootout.
