At the meeting According to general statistics from the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in the first five months of 2022, approximately 206,110 tons of cashew kernels of all kinds were exported earning over US$1.19 billion in export turnover, down 7.81 percent in volume and 6.81 percent in value. However, the average export price was about $5,792 a ton, up 1.45 percent from the same period last year. Regarding imports in the first five months, enterprises imported about 968,000 tons of raw cashew nuts from abroad with a value of nearly $1.4 billion, down 35.24 percent in volume and down 37.84 percent in value over the same period in 2021. However, prices of imports from Africa increased by 15 percent-20 percent since the beginning of the season. HCM City’s number of firms grows over 26 percent from 2016
A corner of HCM City (Photo: VNA) HCM City (VNA) – The number of businesses in Ho Chi Minh City amounted to 216,170 in 2021, up 26.2 percent from 2016, according to the city’s economic census for last year. Of the total figure, there were 270 State-owned enterprises, down 22.9 percent from 2016. By contrast, the numbers of non-state and FDI enterprises were at 208,609 and 7,291, up 25.1 and 75.2 percent, respectively. The decrease of state-owned firms during this period reflected the policy of the Party and State in arranging, transforming, and equitising the group in order to improve their role and business production efficiency. Among localities, Thu Duc city posted the highest number of operating companies, at 30,729, followed by District 1 (18,184 firms), Tan Binh district (16,745), and Binh Tan district (15,333). Military semester program 2022 starts
The event was jointly organized by the Vietnam Youth Support Center under the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Artillery Regiment 58 under Division 308 of Army Corps 1 and the Training Battalion under Division 371 of the Air Defense - Air Force Service. The military semester program aims to provide youths with necessary life and social skills. To this end, youths will learn the traditions of the heroic Vietnam People’s Army, and be educated about patriotism, sharing spirit, responsibility, and showing of their inner feelings with family and society. They are UNCLOS internationally and VNLOS domestically. At present, there are a lot of conventions, international laws or legal documents. They are not issued by any courts, but built based on the commitments of coastal and island states.
