Preparations for 13th National Party Congress basically completed On January 22, Politburo member and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong inspected the preparations for the 13th National Party Congress, which is scheduled to begin next week at the National Convention Centre in Hanoi. Vuong, who is also head of the organising board of the congress, supervised the rehearsal of the flag-salute ceremony, music performances, film screenings and taking photos of congress delegates. The Party official was reported that all the preparations for the congress have been basically completed, from security to logistics and reception. Security for delegates and guests is being ensured strictly and at the highest level. He reiterated that there should be no mistakes in ensuring the success of the congress, calling for the joint efforts of the entire Party and people for the upcoming important political event. Coach Park Hang-seo said that he would come back to work soon and try to work hard to improve the national team’s results. Coach Park Hang-seo arrived in Hanoi on February 3 after a holiday in his home country of South Korea. He was now on a 21-day quarantine period for Covid-19 prevention following regulations from the Vietnamese government. Under the leadership of coach Park Hang-seo, the Vietnamese national football team finished as runners-up at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Championship, champions of the AFF Cup 2018, qualified in semi-finals of the 18th Asian Games and made the 2019 Asian Cup quarter-finals. Another nCoV patient in Vietnam to be discharged from hospital

The Hanoitimes - The patient was one of Vietnam's first confirmed cases of nCoV infection after it was first detected in Wuhan in China last December. Chinese patient Li Ding, 66, who was one of the first confirmed cases of infection with the new coronavirus (nCoV) in Vietnam and underwent treatment at Cho Ray Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, has recently tested negative for the virus, Hanoimoi reported. According to Director of the Ministry of Health's Medical Services Administration Luong Ngoc Khue, Li Ding has regained consciousness and can breathe by himself. Photo: Zing Khue said that the result came from the great efforts of the medical team because Li Ding caught nCoV while he had just recovered from a lung cancer surgery in 2018. The patient has type 2 diabetes and suffers cardiovascular disease. "We keep monitoring the patient and ask the Central Steering Committee for nCoV Prevention for permission to discharge him from hospital soon," Khue said. The man was one of Vietnam's first confirmed cases of nCoV infection after it was first detected in Wuhan in China last December. Ding arrived in Hanoi from Wuhan with his wife on January 13 before flying to Nha Trang four days later and developing a fever. Earlier, his son, Zichao, developed a fever on January 20, three days after his father. Both were admitted to Cho Ray Hospital on January 22. Ding’s wife tested negative for the virus. Vietnam has reported 15 cases of infection, of them six have recovered and been discharged from hospital. As of February 11, the number of nCoV infections reached 43,104 globally while the death toll has risen to 1,018, including two outside China. …
