At the dialogue, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Phan Van Mai confirmed that the Republic of Korea (RoK) has been an important economic partner of Vietnam generally and Ho Chi Minh City particularly during the passing years. The economic achievements of both sides were thanks to the enterprise communities of the two countries. The city has overcome the toughest time of the Covid-19 pandemic and is implementing specific plans for the recovery process which is facing challenges. He immediately got dressed and 10 minutes later was on the scene to give first aid to a victim. Every day in Hà Nội there are fatal traffic accidents, in part because the victims do not receive first aid or are hospitalised in time. Luân, 23, is a member of the Free Aid Support team "FAS Angel", established three years ago, which provides first aid to traffic victims, day or night. Between 9pm to 2am every day, FAS Angel members were present at three strategic traffic points: Cầu Diễn, Ngã Tư Sở and Nguyễn Xiển. When receiving news of an accident, the team can be at the scene of the accident within four to eight minutes. Foreign groups battle to retain their workers
Inadequacies in salary are causing a shift of workers among foreign-invested enterprises. Taiwanese-backed Foxconn, the world’s largest iPhone contract manufacturer, is complaining about a battle to attract more affordable labour with its Chinese rivals in Vietnam. Young Liu, CEO and chairman of Foxconn, this month accused the company’s Chinese competitors of setting up campuses near its base in Vietnam to get closer to its workers. Foxconn’s campus, located in the northern province of Bac Ninh, currently employs around 60,000 workers, and the company has plans to increase that number over the next two years. Once the battle for workers becomes more serious, the company may face the risk of employee shortages.
