At the dialogue, Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee Phan Van Mai confirmed that the Republic of Korea (RoK) has been an important economic partner of Vietnam generally and Ho Chi Minh City particularly during the passing years. The economic achievements of both sides were thanks to the enterprise communities of the two countries. The city has overcome the toughest time of the Covid-19 pandemic and is implementing specific plans for the recovery process which is facing challenges. Vietnam’s Engineering Company Rotation 1 begins missions in Abyei
The Engineering Company Rotation 1 has set two road rescue and maintenance teams to ensure traffic flows and conduct road rescue and maintenance missions. In addition, the unit has also deployed forces to continue building a repair and maintenance station for vehicles and equipment that the first group of the company received in May this year. Vietnam’s first peacekeeping engineering unit promptly set to work in Abyei
Members of Vietnam’s Engineering Unit Rotation 1 (Photo: qdnd.vn) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam’s Engineering Unit Rotation 1 has quickly set to work at the UN Interim Security Force for Abyei ( UNISFA ) immediately after all its 184 members fully assembled. Just days after arriving in Abyei, the unit set up two teams for emergency road rescue and repair activities along roads in the northern division - a border area between Sudan and South Sudan. The unit also took over the construction of a workshop for repairing and maintaining equipment, cars and motorbikes of the UN peacekeeping mission, which the first group of the unit had been working on since early May.
