The signing of the agreement conveyed the message that Vietnam is a positive and responsible member of the international community as well as the country’s efforts to join hands with countries to deal with global issues, contributing to peace, prosperity and sustainable development. More than 60 countries are scheduled to sign the agreement during the underway high-level week of the 78th U.N. General Assembly. The ratification and signing of the deal is a historical milestone in the international community’s efforts in environmental protection during the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, especially the goal No.14 on preservation and sustainable use of oceans and maritime resources. Signing the agreement signaled that Vietnam is an active and responsible member of the international community. Experts come together to enhance dengue prevention strategies in Vietnam
This conference, chaired by Nguyen Thi Lien Huong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health (MoH), brought together over 100 delegates, including healthcare professionals from the MoH, the World Health Organisation, the Ho Chi Minh City Centre for Disease Control, the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, the Children's Hospital 1, and other medical facilities and vaccination centres nationwide. The peak season for dengue haemorrhagic fever in Vietnam often lasts from June to October. At present, the country is facing the ongoing complexity of the development of outbreaks each year, placing rising pressure on Vietnam's healthcare system. As of now, Vietnam has recorded 81,808 cases of dengue fever this year, with 23 fatalities. At the conference, both international and local health experts discussed Vietnam's dengue fever prevention initiatives, and methods to improve their effectiveness. Promising outcomes for 2023’s FDI

(Photo: VNA) On September 22, three months after the signing of a comprehensive business agreement in Seoul city of South Korea on eco-friendly, high-tech material between SKC Group and Haiphong People’s Committee, the group’s representatives were present in the northern port city to receive an investment registration certificate for $500 million. South Korea’s second-largest conglomerate will start construction of the first phase of the project in mid-December and complete construction within nine months. Woncheol Park, CEO of SKC Group which is part of SK Corporation, said, “We have invested around $3 billion in Vietnam over five years. Generali Vietnam brings Bep am cho em campaign to children in Dien Bien
This project is part of Generali Vietnam 's community initiatives to bring a better life for Vietnamese children. The budget for the project comes from the company’s annual fundraising initiative. The offering raised funds for the building of a kitchen and other auxiliary facilities for 81 disadvantaged children in Dien Bien. Over VND250 million ($10,264) from the donation has been transferred to the NFVC to build a fully equipped new kitchen, including utensils, a covered dining area, and a new water tank, for children in the remote village of Xa Dung B. It is home to 81 children from the Thai and Hmong ethnic groups, and the teachers there dream of being able to offer nutritious meals for the children, with a new tank to store clean water.
