The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE) hosted a gong-beating ceremony on January 31, marking the first trading session of the Vietnamese stock market in Spring 2023. In her opening speech, Vu Thi Chan Phuong, chairwoman of the State Securities Commission (SSC), emphasised that 2022 marked a challenging year for the Vietnamese economy due to a range of internal and external factors. (Photo: VNA) Quang Ninh (VNA) – Import-export activities at the Mong Cai International Border Gate have turned busy as the border gate reopened on January 28 after 7-day closure for Lunar New Year (Tet) celebration. Only on the morning of January 28, 120 vehicles carrying more than 600 tonnes of products and container trucks carrying electronic items traversed the border gate. HCM City needs to recruit more workers s after Tet
As many as 499 businesses in HCM City need to recruit around 14,500 workers after the Tet Lunar New Year holiday, according to the municipal Department of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs. The department reported that of the figure, the garment and footwear sector accounts for roughly 5,000 workers, followed by companies which make electronic products and components with 2,200 and the wholesale industry with 1,000 people.
