The programme featured special singing and dancing performances by famous artists such as Duyen Huyen, Pham The Vi, Thanh Su, Thanh Tam, Ngoc Tuan, Luu Hien Trinh, Ho Trung Dung, and Hien Thuc. It highlighted local residents’ national pride, aspiration for reforms, and joyfulness at national development. (Photo: VNA) Da Nang (VNA) – Orders and medals from the State of Vietnam were bestowed upon some collectives and individuals of the Lao Women’s Union (LWU) at a ceremony held in the central city of Da Nang on July 2. The event was held by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) to celebrate the two countries’ Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022. On behalf of the President of Vietnam, the VWU presented the third-class Independence Order to three individuals, the third-class Labour Order to one collective, the Friendship Order to 15 collectives and three individuals, and the Friendship Medal to two individuals of the LWU in recognition of their major contributions to the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties and States. General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum opens up to visitors

General Nguyen Chi Thanh Museum is built on an area of 650sq.m at 144, Dang Thai Than Street, Thuan Hoa ward, Hue City. The museum displays around 400 documents, artifacts and photos briefing the life and revolutionary career of General Nguyen Chi Thanh and his contribution to Thua Thien Hue’s revolution in particular and to the resistance war for national independence and freedom and socialism building in the North in general. The displayed documents, artifacts and photos are divided into themes, namely hometown, families, revolutionary career, General Nguyen Chi Thanh’s important milestones, and gratitude of his families, hometown and nation to the late General. Of the displays, there are photos, documents and artifacts made public for the first time. They include General Nguyen Chie Thanh’s writings about military building, fighting against individualism, and agriculture. Collectives, individuals of Lao Women’s Union honored with Vietnam’s orders, medals

The event was held by the Vietnam Women’s Union (VWU) to celebrate the two countries’ Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022. On behalf of the President of Vietnam, the VWU presented the third-class Independence Order to three individuals, the third-class Labor Order to one collective, the Friendship Order to 15 collectives and three individuals, and the Friendship Medal to two individuals of the LWU in recognition of their major contribution to the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two parties and states. On this occasion, the two unions signed a cooperation agreement for 2022 - 2027, showing their wish and determination to promote relations via more practical and effective activities in the next five years. Vietnam logs 730 new COVID-19 cases on July 2

COVID-19 vaccination (Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam reported an additional 730 COVID-19 cases and no death on July 2, according to the Ministry of Health. The new infections brought the country’s total caseload to 10,748,127 since the pandemic broke out. As many as 9,694 patients were declared to be free from coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 on the day, raising the total number of recoveries to 9,699,357. Meanwhile, the death toll related to the disease was kept at 43,047, accounting for 0.4% of the total infections. More than 233.09 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines had been administered in Vietnam to date, including 18.51 million doses for children aged between 12-17 and 8.23 million doses for kids from 5-11 years old./.
