Quang Ninh works on air cargo transport route with Can Tho
The route, to be launched by low-cost airline Vietjet on April 25, aims to enable fastest cargo transportation between the Northern and Southern parts of the country and ease overload in the North-South road, Ky said, adding that tickets for the service have been on sale from March 9. The administrations of Quang Ninh and Can Tho will accompany and give optimal support to businesses, investors and airlines to ensure lowest transportation costs, he pledged. According to the Asian-African Market Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, China has included Quang Ninh's Mong Cai Border Gate in the list of sites eligible to cater to food imports into China. Vietnam ranked in world’s top 5 summer destinations for 2023
Vietnam is among the top five international destinations to visit this summer, along with Japan, New Zealand, Italy, and France, U.S. travel site Travel off Path cited data from travel website Expedia. According to Travel off Path, summer is time for travel and traveling to Europe or Asia is perfect in the summertime due to the many events in each destination. "Things are changing, and traveling is becoming more accessible," Travel off Path wrote on its website. As a result, summer vacation planning is heating up, with searches up 50 percent over last year. Vietnam is one of the most sought-after destinations on Expedia. Searches and bookings for Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City have soared 298, 439, and 219 percent, respectively. French food festival to hit Hanoi
The festival, succeeding its previous two editions in 2018 and 2020, will take place at the Ly Thai To Square and the pedestrian zone around the Hoan Kiem Lake, according to a press release from the Embassy. Vietnam struggles to auction outdated gasoline
To obtain more space and money for today’s most common and popular gasoline RON95, Vietnam needs to sell its reserves of the cheaper RON92 fuel, which were supposed to have been auctioned off last year. But Vietnamese ministries were unable to agree on a set starting price for the fuel so the auction never happened. RON 92 is a low-power fuel that is now mainly used to make biofuel. But the Ministry of Industry and Trade has reported that selling such a large volume of the gasoline is difficult because few local wholesalers need biofuel at the moment. Vietnam has not had to release fuels from the national reserve for emergencies in five years, but the Ministry of Industry has announced that bulking up the nation’s scant reserves is a must. According to the National Reserve Law, petroleum is a strategic reserve commodity.
