PANO - Vietnam’s military-run telecom group Viettel is organizing a competition, entitled “Honoring Viettel’s Best Sales and Customer Services Groups 2015”, as a playground for its staff to learn experiences from each other within customer services. At the semi-final round in late September, competitors will have to compete in three areas of knowledge, understanding teammates and behavior. Competitors joining the event Most recently, the semifinal of region 1 took place at the Au Co Theatre in Hanoi, with the participation of 70 members of 14 teams from three units of Viettel Telecom Corporation, Viettel Commercial and Ex-Im Company and Viettel Post Joint Stock Corporation. The top five teams selected from different regions will compete in the final round. By Nguyễn Bình When Lương Huệ Trinh started experimenting with electro-acoustic instruments in her final year at the Việt Nam Academy of Music (VNAM), she didn't know much about them, just that she was falling in love with a new way of making music. Trinh was the first Vietnamese musician to study multimedia composition at Hamburg University of Music and Theatre from 2015 to 2018. Now it doesn’t matter, as the dreams are reality. The Việt Nam men’s U22 football team won a gold medal at the 30th Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines by defeating Indonesia 3-0 in the final. A popular saying goes ‘phúc bất trùng lai’, which means happiness does not repeat itself, but the men’s victory came just days after the women’s team won their own gold medal at the Games. Deborah Greenfield, Deputy Director-General for Policy at the International Labour Organisation, spoke to Viet Nam News reporter Thu Vân about the Vietnamese Government's efforts to change its labour laws in line with requirements on labour rights in free trade agreements it has recently ratified, like the CPTPP and the EVFTA, as well as the challenges ahead in the world of work. Việt Nam has recently ratified the CPTPP and signed the EVFTA, and these two trade agreements include provisions on labour rights and require the country to make certain changes to its labour laws.
