Two Vietnamese artists, famous in Vietnam, were arrested in Spain last weekend due to an accusation of having raped a 17-year-old British girl, according to reports by British and Spanish newspapers. The two, an actor and a musician aged 37 and 42, appeared in court on Tuesday, according the Majorca Daily Bulletin, a local newspaper of the holiday island of Majorca, where the sex attack was said to have taken place. They were released on bail, but their passports were withdrawn. The British girl gave a statement to the court, verifying what she had reported to police officers. Accordingly, the two men were staying at a hotel in Sant Elm. The girl and her family were at a different hotel. They met at a restaurant on Friday night last week. JICA ramps up private sector’s engagement in climate actions in Vietnam
Following the rising global momentum for implementation of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDC) and domestic policy direction towards carbon neutrality by 2050, the seminar gathered key policy makers from relevant ministries, leaders of business associations, key CEOs, managers and representatives from both foreign and domestic enterprises based in Vietnam. 30 Vietnamese firms register for field demonstrations at Agritechnica Asia Live

The event, the theme of which highlights concerted mechanisation towards sustainable agriculture, is scheduled to take place in Can Tho on August 24-26. Australian barista contest found the winner
The competition, part of the Taste of Australia event, was organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and supported by Vietnam’s Graduates from Australia Club (VGAC). It had two rounds – an online one held from May 12-June 4; and a final round held on June 25 in Ho Chi Minh City. All contestants registered for the online round submitted video clips with two cups with two different patterns from four subjects - Heart, Tulip, Rosetta and Swan. Three SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variant BA.5 cases detected in Hanoi
Through Bach Mai Hospital's recent gene sequencing results, three people in Hanoi are detected to be infected with the sub-variant BA.5 of Omicron At a today press conference about the economic and social situation of Vietnam's capital city informed by the Hanoi People's Committee, a representative of the Hanoi Department of Health said that although the number of new cases of Covid-19 daily is decreasing sharply Hanoi has recorded three cases caused by the BA.5 sub-strain of Omicron coronavirus variant.
