Chinese man sentenced 18 months in prison due to illegal entry into Vietnam
In September, 2019, Wang Qing Lin illegally entered Vietnam to work. One month later, Lin was fined VND4 million (USD173.91) for not completing the necessary entry procedures as required. After returning to China, Wang Qing Lin was told by a man named Xiao Hua to join the online visual stock market. Being promised to receive the monthly payment of CNY5,000, Lin agreed with the deal. On November 9, 2019, Wang Qing Lin illegally entered Vietnam again by road through an unidentified man. After re-entering Vietnam, Wang Qing Lin was taken to the central city of Danang by a Vietnamese person who has not yet been identified. In Danang City, with the support of Nguyen Thi Yen, 26 and Le Thi Toan, 38, Wang Qing Lin stayed in different areas in the city.
