Since the nation first joined the campaign in 2009, the average annual power output saved in the one hour was estimated at about 400,000 kWh. Last year, the figure was 309,000 kWh. The activities were to respond to the Youth Month and mark the 110th birthday of Major General, Prof., Academician Tran Dai Nghia (September 13, 1913 - 2023), the first Director of the Department of Weapons and Military Equipment (predecessor of the General Department of Defense Industry - GDDI). The event, jointly organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's Central Committee, the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children's Union and the provincial People's Committee, drew 263 delegates representing 1,000 outstanding children who showed good deeds in 2023.
