Right after that, General Phan Van Giang and his entourage visited the 7th Artillery Brigade of the 7th Army Division under the RoK Army stationed in Namyangju, Gyeonggi province. A welcoming ceremony for the Vietnamese delegation was hosted by Lieutenant General Go Hyeon-seok, Commander of the 7th Army Division and Brigadier General Yoon Hyeon-sik, Commander of the 7th Artillery Brigade. During the visit, General Phan Van Giang and his entourage watched a live-fire demonstration of K9A1 self-propelled howitzer and were briefed on the brigade’s organization and its staffed weapons and equipment, including K9A1 self-propelled howitzers and K10 automatic ammunition resupply vehicles. Reportedly, the 7th Artillery Brigade was established on November 1st, 1989. It has five companies, one artillery repairing factory and one signal platoon.
