An 11-year-old boy in Hai Phong who was allegedly treated brutally by his father has been taken away from him and handed to his grandmother after teachers at school noticed wounds on his body a fortnight ago. Bui Xuan Thuan lost his mother five years ago and was brought up by the grandmother, but after his father Bui Xuan Phong, 33, married for a third time last March, he was forced to live with him. That was when the abuse started. Thuan was often beaten violently by his father, who once even forced him to eat feces. The boy endured the suffering until October 11 when his teacher accidently saw injuries on his body and asked him about them.
