A report by the U.K.-based search engine for flights, hotels and car rentals, said Vietnam’s Da Nang and Thailand’s Bangkok are the most favored Southeast Asian cities among South Koreans looking to travel abroad for the upcoming holiday. Its conclusion is based on search frequencies for travel in September 12-15. Jeju Island, the largest island in South Korea and the country’s favorite domestic holiday destination, was also the most searched by the nation’s citizens for the holiday. The Mid-Autumn Festival, called Chuseok in South Korea, is one of the country's biggest holidays and is celebrated according to the lunar calendar. Da Nang continues drawing more investment
In Da Nang city (Photo: VNA) Da Nang (VNA) – Building on the achievements of “The Year of Promoting Investment Attraction 2019”, the central city of Da Nang is taking key measures to draw more investment this year. Accordingly, Da Nang will effectively realise its master plan till 2030 with a vision to 2045, complete procedures to hold land auctions for projects in the fields of health care, education, trade and services during the first quarter of next year. The city will also call for domestic and foreign investment to high-tech, industrial and smart urban areas. Chief of the Office of the municipal Department of Planning and Investment Tran Van Hoang said as of the late November, the department had consulted with the municipal People’s Committee about the licensing of nine projects worth over 8.8 trillion VND (382.6 million USD). PM’s official visit aims to bolster partnership with Myanmar

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will pay an official visit to Myanmar from December 16 – 18 at the invitation of Myanmar President U Win Myint. His trip to the country affirms that Vietnam highly values the comprehensive cooperative partnership with Myanmar, and wants to step up bilateral collaboration in the fields of trade, investment and security – defence. Bilateral ties have unceasingly developed Vietnam and Myanmar have enjoyed a sound traditional friendship, the foundation of which was laid by President Ho Chi Minh and Hero Aung San. Work speeds up on expressway through Vietnamese national park
Construction of the La Son-Tuy Loan expressway started three years ago and hundreds of workers are racing against time to speed up the project scheduled for completion by the end of this year. The 47-mile-long expressway, costing around VND11.5 trillion ($496 million), will run from La Son Town in Thua Thien-Hue Province to Tuy Loan Village in Da Nang, crossing through the Bach Ma National Park, a top trekking destination. Workers are toiling day and night at the construction site. Workers asphalt a section of the road running through the national park. Upon completion, the expressway will connect with the Da Nang-Quang Ngai highway, forming a continuous network of expressways in central Vietnam. The Bach Ma National Park, covering more than 37,000 hectares, was established in 1991.
