(CPV)- "The delegation of government, business and university officials from Atlantic Canada has concluded a successful four-day trade mission to Vietnam", said the Canadian Embassy to Vietnam today (December 3). The mission, which took place November 29 to December 3, 2009, was organized by the Government of Canada through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA). "The volume of bilateral trade between Canada and Vietnam has increased steadily over the past decade, and now stands more than five times greater than in 1997," said the Honourable Peter MacKay, Minister of National Defence cum Minister for the Atlantic Gateway. Minister MacKay praised the collaborative efforts of the Canadian delegates and their Vietnamese hosts. (VEN) - One program run by the Vietnam National University, Hanoi and three programs organized by the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City were recently recognized as standard education programs by the ASEAN University Network (AUN), which affirmed Vietnamese education's position and quality in the ASEAN region. AUN includes 21 leading universities of the ASEAN member countries. The purpose of AUN's assessment program of education quality is to establish an integrated education system among universities in the region. The most reputable universities in 10 ASEAN countries take part in the assessment program.
