After two weeks, Vietnamese officials at the Academy of Journalism & Communication, officials of the Central Propaganda and Education Committee, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and several local news publishers successfully graduated and obtained certificates from KOICA. Japanese Crown Prince, Crown Princess watch new opera commemorating diplomatic ties

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) - Japan's Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko watched a new opera at the Hanoi Opera House on September 22 evening as part of their official visit to Vietnam. The opera “ Princess Anio ”, which recounts a 17th century love story between a Vietnamese princess and a Japanese merchant, was performed to mark the 50th founding anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties. The story involves Araki Sotaro, a Red Seal ship trader who lived from the Azuchi Momoyama period to the Edo period. He traveled from Nagasaki to Dang Trong in central Vietnam, gaining the trust of King Nguyen Phuc Nguyen of Dang Trong and marrying his daughter, Princess Ngoc Hoa. K-pop show rocks Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc square
K-Pop lovers from all over the country had a chance to treat their ears to their favorite melodies at the "K-Pop I Love 2023" singing contest in downtown Hanoi. The final show of the "K-pop Songs I Love" singing contest, held by the Korea Creative Content Agency Vietnam Office (KOCCA Vietnam), rocked Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square in the heart of Hanoi on September 23. Young music lovers throng Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square for the concert. Hong Jeong Yong, Chief Representative of KOCCA Vietnam, head of the organizing committee, said that KOCCA Vietnam hopes that the program will be a space to show the passion for K-pop especially for Vietnamese young people. Naval ships of New Zealand visit Vietnam
Leading the New Zealand delegation, Commander of the Joint Forces New Zealand Rear Admiral James Gilmour said the visit follows a successful trip to his country by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army and Deputy Minister of National Defense, in July 2023. It is a demonstration of the intensive cooperation between the two countries and aims to help strengthen their defense relations as well as people-to-people ties, he noted.
