The event was organised by the People’s Security Academy and the UN Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN Women) with support from the Canadian Government. Up to 88,000 businesses in Viet Nam withdraw from market

Of the sum, 55,200 enterprises temporarily ceased operations, up 20.3 per cent against the last year's same period. Another 25,500 were in the dissolution process, a yearly rise of 34 per cent and 7,300 completed dissolution procedures, up 6.5 per cent year-on-year. On average, 17,600 businesses withdraw from the market every month, the GSO said. From January to May, over 61,900 new enterprises were formed with a total registered capital of VND568.7 trillion, down 2 per cent in the number of firms and 25.3 per cent in capital from the same period last year. The modern, cable-stayed bridge connecting downtown Hanoi to its airport is now a colorful work of changing LED art at night. Nhat Tan bridge, one of seven main bridges in Hanoi, is the longest steel cable-stayed bridge in Vietnam and considered a new symbol of the capital city as it creates new Hanoi urban facelift. Located on Ring Road 3, the nine-kilometer Nhat Tan bridge (or Vietnam-Japan Friendship bridge) is the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam. It is a cable-stayed bridge crossing the Red river in Hanoi, inaugurated on January 4, 2015. This bridge, the gateway to Hanoi, also serves as a symbol of friendship between Vietnam and Japan. Viet Nam posts trade surplus of US$9.8 billion in five months
In the first five months of the year, Viet Nam exported about $136.17 billion worth of goods, a year-on-year drop of 11.6 per cent, while imports totalled $126.37 billion, down 17.9 per cent year on year. — VNA/VNS Photo Viet Nam’s import-export value in the first five months of this year was estimated at US$262.54 billion, down 14.7 per cent year-on-year, with a trade surplus of $9.8 billion, the General Statistics Office (GSO) announced on Monday. In the period, Viet Nam exported about $136.17 billion worth of goods, a year-on-year drop of 11.6 per cent, while imports totalled $126.37 billion, down 17.9 per cent year on year. As many as 23 export items joined the more than one-billion-US dollar club, making up 87.4 per cent of the total export turnover.
