The reportage said that about 400 Vietnamese people attended the traditional Tet festival in Woluwe Saint-Pierre district where not only Vietnamese people but also Belgians said to each other “Chuc mung Nam moi” (Happy New Year). Vietnamese Tet festival in HCM City lure visitors

The festival is decorated with mai (ochna) trees set up along Pham Ngoc Thach street and inside the venue, which is always crowded with visitors going shopping and taking beautiful photos. Apart from ochna trees, a paddy field is set up as well to wish for good crops in the new year. Vietnamese painting fetches $1.08M at French auction house
The six-panel lacquered artwork (195x100 centimeters) was sold at the "Art classique, moderne et contemporain session of Drouot Estimations" auction last month. The painting shows cottages and villagers, including street hawkers. While the aforementioned subjects shine dark reddish brown against the black background, the banana trees in the foreground are a sharp contrast of varying shades of yellow. That’s thanks to the gold the artist inlaid into the painting on wood. The artwork captures the raw beauty of the countryside and the tranquility of rural life. Sustainable development key to success of Vietnamese coffee

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Vietnamese coffee industry has made steady headway in the international competitiveness rankings with a processing capacity of 2.36 million tonnes per year, according to Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien. Tien was speaking at the international conference on coffee on December 11. The Deputy Minister said Vietnam had 710,000ha of coffee with a yield of 2.7 tonnes per hectare in 2021, three times higher than the average global yield. Between 2021 and 2022, the country produced 1.7 million tonnes and exported 3.9 billion USD worth of coffee, up 31.3% year-by-year. "With farmers of great industry and firms of great adaptability, Vietnam has moved up to the top of the world's largest robusta coffee producers," said Tien. Vietnamese artist’s song enters Eurovision Germany finals
Hieu, who's currently in Germany, said on Friday he was practicing with dancers to perform the song live on stage for the competition’s final round on March 3. The music video itself will be uploaded on the competition's official website so people can vote for it. If Hieu wins, he’ll be eligible to enter the international final of the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, the U.K., in May.
