Vietnamese boxer Nguyen Thi Tam beat Botswana athlete Modukanele Lethabo Bokamoso in the Round of 16 of the 2023 IBA Women’s World Boxing Championship in India on Tuesday to advance to the quarterfinals. With a height advantage, Tam showed a preemptive strategy. She scored an almost absolute point in each of the first two rounds of Tuesday’s showdown. In the third round, Lethabo Bokamoso appeared to be physically weaker and even kissed the canvas once. In the end, Tam won 5-0, including four rounds with absolute points of 30. Brand-new automobiles to be exempt from first mechanical check

(Photo: thanhnien.vn) Hanoi (VNA) – Brand-new automobiles will be exempt from the first mechanical check under a revised circular on technical safety and environmental protection promulgated by the Ministry of Transport. The decision to this effect aims to simplify procedures and reduce costs and time for users, according to the ministry. The legal document, which started to take effect on March 22, stipulates that owners of brand-new vehicles can submit dossiers at registration agencies to receive stamps without having to bring in their vehicles. It also extends the interval between the two checks from 30 months to 36 months for those that have up to nine seats and not engaged in transport service. Through various media channels, the organising board received 130 entries. The winning logo was designed by Ly Khanh Linh, a 22-year-old student from Graphic Design Faculty at FPT University. JICA supports the upgrade of Vietnam’s equity market
