Hundreds of Citi volunteers joined a tree-planting campaign at Nam Cat Tien National Park in Dong Nai province and Phu Ninh Primary School in Phu Tho province, with more than 1,500 trees planted in total. The campaign aims to support the Vietnamese government’s project of growing one billion trees in the next five years. “Every year since 2006, Citi employees serve the communities that they work in through Community Day events in the month of June. This year we planted trees on a large scale supporting the Vietnamese government’s 1-billion-tree initiative, aligned with Citi’s focus on ESG. He immediately got dressed and 10 minutes later was on the scene to give first aid to a victim. Every day in Hà Nội there are fatal traffic accidents, in part because the victims do not receive first aid or are hospitalised in time. Luân, 23, is a member of the Free Aid Support team "FAS Angel", established three years ago, which provides first aid to traffic victims, day or night. Between 9pm to 2am every day, FAS Angel members were present at three strategic traffic points: Cầu Diễn, Ngã Tư Sở and Nguyễn Xiển. When receiving news of an accident, the team can be at the scene of the accident within four to eight minutes. In late March, Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation and local BRG Group worked with Danang’s leaders to discuss projects both groups want to deploy in the city. In 2020, Chairman of Danang People’s Committee Le Trung Chinh handed over MoUs on investment cooperation to Sumitomo Corporation and BRG Group to promote investment in a wide range of urban and infrastructure development projects in Danang.
