P/S of Unilever Vietnam and the Viet Nam Odonto-Stomatology Association have announced a collaboration agreement to prolong the Protecting Vietnamese Smiles programme to 2027. The programme is a component of a strategic partnership between the two parties to enhance oral health and reduce oral diseases by 10 per cent in Viet Nam between 2022 and 2027. Under the collaboration, the two sides will strengthen education on appropriate oral hygiene habits including organising communication initiatives to inspire 20 million people to properly brush their teeth day and night to prevent oral health issues. At the Partnership MoU signing ceremony, BUV and Bond University jointly agreed on articulation programs in business, international tourism and hotel management at the bachelor level, and the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program. At the bachelor level, students will complete 2 years at BUV, then transfer and continue their studies at Bond University for 16 months. For the MBA program, students complete the master's program at BUV and continue to study for additional 8 months at Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia to receive the Master degree issued by Bond University. The city's mayor has asked local authorities to speed up the vaccination campaign amid surging infections. Hanoi's authorities have been asked to give Covid-19 vaccine booster shots to local residents as soon as possible, according to a decision signed on August 9 by Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Tran Sy Thanh. On August 9, Vietnam saw a record high in three months of 2,300 new cases in a single day, lifting up the country’s total infections to more than 11,350,000, including more than 43,000 deaths, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH). Local media consider such a change a “revolution” in the electricity and environment of the country. The MoIT said in a written report to the Government Standing Committee that of 14,120 MW of coal-fired thermal power, State corporations had invested in 8,420 MW. Specifically, Electricity of Vietnam was assigned 3,600 MW, including Quang Trach II, Tan Phuoc I and II projects. The Vietnam Oil and Gas Group has been given 1,980 MW for the Long Phu III project.
