An investigation into the Ho Chi Minh City department of education has shown that the organization sent the wife of the departmental director to an overseas training program against regulations in 2018. The municipal inspectorate received an anonymous letter of denunciation about the case in November 2018 and recently finished verifying the claims in the document. The accusers claimed to be a group of headmasters in Ho Chi Minh City, stating that the municipal Department of Education and Training had not been transparent in selecting people for a training course in Germany last year. The criteria for the selection were not clear, they explained.
