Millions of travelers book tours for summer vacation
People and tourists choose to buy tours at the Hong Ngoc Ha travel booth during Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival 2022 Specifically, national carriers Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and the Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) have prepared to supply more than 7.1 million seats during the peak summer season from June 1 to August 15, an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period before the Covid-19 epidemic. Credit supply sees two-fold rise
Illustrative image (Source: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Total credit supply in 2022 reached over 11 quadrillion VND (474.3 billion USD) as of May 20, up 7.66 percent compared to that at the end of 2021 and doubling the figure recorded in the same time last year, according to Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Dao Minh Tu. At a virtual conference of the banking sector on May 27, Tu said that right from the beginning of this year, the SBV has guided credit flow towards the production and business sectors as well as prioritised areas, while tightly controlling credit in risky areas. Particularly, a growth of over 8 percent was seen in credit for sectors facing difficulties such as tourism and hotel, while a 7.6 percent increase was recorded in industrial sectors and supporting industries. The SBV Deputy Governor said that as of the end of April, over 695 trillion VND of loans had been given to more than 1.1 million customers. TV shows promoting traditional culture to be screened
The shows are the result of co-operation between VOV and the Vietnam Film Studio (VFS). Launched last month, Vietnam Journey aims to honor Vietnamese culture and tourism. The screening of these shows is a part of the effort, according to Nguyen The Ky, General Director of the VOV. “We are introducing two shows for the Tet holiday to give viewers a chance to relax and enjoy interesting stories,” he said. “The stories are told in a tender and humorous way to call on people to preserve the country’s fine traditions.” Vuong To (Beauty of Silk) tells the story of Van Phuc Silk Village in Ha Dong district, where the trade of weaving silk has been nurtured for centuries. The film depicts the process of making and designing silk, and how hard the artisans fight to preserve the traditional trade in the face of modern trends and foreign brands. Vietnamese airlines to serve high summer demand
Airlines in Vietnam are increasing the number of flights to serve high demand during the coming summer holiday. Vietnam Airlines Group, which operates Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and VASCO has said they will conduct some 36,000 flights with more than 7.1 million seats, including 32,400 flights and 6.3 million seats on domestic routes between June 1 and August 15. The figure showed an increase of 10 percent compared to the same period in 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam Airlines Group will operate approximately 430 domestic flights daily during the peak summer days. Some of the busiest flight routes include Hanoi-Danang/HCM City and HCM City-Danang with nearly 160 flights daily between these three cities.
