ECO-FRIENDLY payment initiative launched by Visa
Visa last week announced the launch of Eco Benefits in Asia-Pacific. It is a suite of sustainability-focused solutions that will help Visa cardholders across the region better understand the environmental impact of their day-to-day payments. Over half of Vietnamese consumers now regularly shop online and expect to be able to pay by card Banks that sign up for Eco Benefits will be able to offer these solutions to their Visa cardholders and meet the growing demand for sustainable financial services. According to a new Visa/YouGov survey, 66 per cent of consumers in Asia-Pacific expect their bank to offer eco-friendly payment solutions. Over half (52 per cent) would switch banks in order to access a product or service that helps them understand the carbon footprint of their spending. PM Pham Minh Chinh checks progress of Nhon-Hanoi Station urban railway

(Photo: VNA) Hanoi (VNA) – Elevated sections of the urban railway from Nhon to Hanoi Station must be completed before December 31, 2022, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during a meeting with contractors and leaders of concerned ministries and Hanoi on August 7. The meeting aimed to seek ways to resolve challenges hampering the progress of one of the most critical infrastructure projects in Hanoi. Construction of the railway started in 2008 and was initially planned to finish in 2015. The double-track railway is 12.5km long, with the elevated sections spanning 8.5km and the remaining 4km underground. Only 75% of the work has been completed, with investment doubling to more than 34 trillion VND (over 1.45 billion USD).
