Vietnam nominates communist party chief to become president

Vietnam and China share a long border with the busiest border gates serving trade connections. Vietnam’s top leaders including General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh today [March 28] met Wang Ning, party secretary of Yunnan Province, China as part of gestures to strengthen the ties between border areas. The "We are ABLE" project aims to strengthen the ability of children from ethnic minorities, especially girls, to overcome the challenges they face. The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on March 28 announced Phase II of the project "We are ABLE - Promoting Gender Equality and Girls' Education for Children in Ethnic Minority Areas of Viet Nam".
