Hoang Thi Thanh Nhan, deputy head of the agency, said scientists have found 25 species of tortoises and freshwater turtles along with five species of sea turtles in Vietnam. Vietnam seeks int’l experiences against LGBTI discrimination
In Universal Periodical Review (UPR), Vietnam supported international recommendations to take further steps to protect LGBTI persons against violence and discrimination. Vietnam, a candidate for the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) for the 2023-2025 term, has been seeking international experiences and support to protect lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and intersex (LGBTI) from discrimination. Vietnam-UK agreement creates leverage for bilateral trade
Bilateral trade recovery According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, after two years of COVID-19, trade between Vietnam and the UK recovered in 2021, reaching nearly US$6.6 billion. This included more than US$5.7 billion worth of Vietnam’s exports to the UK, an increase of 16.4 percent compared with 2020. The workshop, held by the Vietnam Environment Administration at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE), looked into the implementation of the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 4/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2022 on urgent tasks and solutions to preserve wild and migratory birds in Vietnam.
