Vietnam was deemed to be at the right time to start facilitating offshore wind energy generation in order to fulfill its sustainability goals in power development, said experts in the field at a seminar held last week in Hanoi. The seminar, entitled “Promoting Vietnam’s offshore wind power development: International practices and policy recommendations”, was co-held by the Vietnamese Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission and the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam. Increasing labour cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand was discussed at a meeting between Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh and Thai Deputy Minister of Labour Surachai Chaitrakulthong in Bangkok on March 24. Especially, the event also focused on supporting and empowering women to work in the science and technology field.
