Vietnam at right time to bolster offshore wind power growth: experts
Vietnam was deemed to be at the right time to start facilitating offshore wind energy generation in order to fulfill its sustainability goals in power development, said experts in the field at a seminar held last week in Hanoi. The seminar, entitled “Promoting Vietnam’s offshore wind power development: International practices and policy recommendations”, was co-held by the Vietnamese Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission and the Embassy of Denmark in Vietnam. Vietnam and Thailand promote labour cooperation
Increasing labour cooperation between Vietnam and Thailand was discussed at a meeting between Vietnamese Ambassador to Thailand Phan Chi Thanh and Thai Deputy Minister of Labour Surachai Chaitrakulthong in Bangkok on March 24. Viettel’s workshop highlights women in data science
The seminar discussed information and skills in the science and technology field, such as scientific research in the industry from A to Z, applications of data science in many fields, to name but a few. Especially, the event also focused on supporting and empowering women to work in the science and technology field. Viettel currently has more than 14,000 female officers and employees, accounting for 29% of the group’s number of total personnel working in Vietnam, 2.5 times higher than the average number in the field of information technology, electronics and telecommunications globally. Exhibition highlights historic documents on Da Nang’s role under Nguyen Dynasty
Apart from the nearly 100 documents featuring Da Nang’s role under the Nguyen Dynasty (1802-1945), the exhibition also showcases images and maps on Hoang Sa (Paracel) and photos capturing Da Nang’s economic activities at present, as well as the operations of maritime forces. Dang Thanh Tung, head of the Vietnam State Department for Records and Archives under the Ministry of Home Affairs, noted that the exhibits demonstrate that Nguyen Kings highly valued Da Nang’s role in economy, trade and national defence.
