The new template passports aim to prevent the creation of fake passports. The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) started issuing new template passports for Vietnamese citizens today [July 1], according to the Immigration Department of Vietnam. The move is aimed at implementing Circular 73/2021/TT-BCA of the MPS on passport specimens. Each page of the new passport will be printed with renowned Vietnamese scenery and cultural heritage, namely Ha Long Bay, Hung King Temple, Hue Imperial Citadel, Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary, Nha Rong Habour, Lung Cu Flag Tower, and among others. As planned, the Cambodian mission will visit and exchange experience with Vietnam’s Division 2 from June 29 to July 1. During the visit, Cambodian young officers will tour Division 2’s club of officers, farming areas, accommodation, and fruit garden. They will also have culture and sport exchanges with troops of Division 2. Two Vietnamese artists, famous in Vietnam, were arrested in Spain last weekend due to an accusation of having raped a 17-year-old British girl, according to reports by British and Spanish newspapers. The two, an actor and a musician aged 37 and 42, appeared in court on Tuesday, according the Majorca Daily Bulletin, a local newspaper of the holiday island of Majorca, where the sex attack was said to have taken place. They were released on bail, but their passports were withdrawn. The British girl gave a statement to the court, verifying what she had reported to police officers. Accordingly, the two men were staying at a hotel in Sant Elm. The girl and her family were at a different hotel. They met at a restaurant on Friday night last week. The competition, part of the Taste of Australia event, was organised by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) and supported by Vietnam’s Graduates from Australia Club (VGAC). It had two rounds – an online one held from May 12-June 4; and a final round held on June 25 in Ho Chi Minh City. All contestants registered for the online round submitted video clips with two cups with two different patterns from four subjects - Heart, Tulip, Rosetta and Swan.
