A Vietnam Airlines flight made an urgent landing in Azerbaijan to save a German passenger. Flight VN30 departed Germany’s Frankfurt Airport at around 7:40 pm (Hanoi time) on Thursday for HCM City and had to land when the 18-year-old passenger faced some health problems. An airplane of Vietnam Airlines Despite being given emergency care by a doctor and a nurse who were passengers, his condition failed to improve. The Thai Ministry of Energy has decided to stop its 1,200MW coal-fired thermal power project in Quang Tri Province, central Vietnam after reviewing the idle project that has yet to be developed since it got approved more than nine years ago. The decision was unveiled within the framework of the 2nd Vietnam - Thailand Energy Forum (VTEF 2) held by the ministry, in conjunction with the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade, in Bangkok on Thursday, Vo Van Hung, chairman of the Quang Tri administration, confirmed on Friday. Authorities in Quang Binh Province, north-central Vietnam have booked a 35-year-old man for lighting his eight-year-old son’s legs on fire following a neighbor’s accusation that the child had stolen their money. Doctors at Bo Trach General Hospital in Quang Binh’s Bo Trach District diagnosed the child, Nguyen T.T., with third-degree burns. The incident occurred on October 2 when T.’s 35-year-old father Nguyen Anh Tuan returned to his family home in Hoa Trach Commune, Bo Trach District and a neighbor told him that T. had stolen money from their house to buy toys. Tuan, who was drunk at the time, then took straw and petrol and used them to light the boy’s legs on fire. Tuan’s mother immediately extinguished the fire and rushed T. to a local medical station for first aid, but the child’s injuries required further treatment at Bo Trach General Hospital.
