(Photo: VNA) Sydney – The Australia-Vietnam Business Council (AVBC) held a conference in Sydney on June 23 to promote trade and investment partnerships through the strengthening of the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy that was reached between the two countries in late 2021. Addressing the event, which drew nearly 100 businesses from a variety of sectors, AVBC President Kiem Dinh said that the conference marked a commitment from Vietnam and Australia to promote their partnership in many areas, heading to sustainable and inclusive economic growth in both countries. Vietnam-Australia Centre officially launched
Hanoi (VNA) – The Vietnam Australia Centre (VAC) has been officially launched by the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) and the Australia n Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), becoming a milestone in the Vietnam-Australia strategic partnership. According to the Australian Embassy in Vietnam , the establishment of the centre is in implementation of an agreement signed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries in August 2019. The Hanoi-based centre aims to help Vietnam access Australia’s knowledge, skills and expertise, experience in training and scientific research, thereby strengthening mutual understanding and deepening the fruitful partnership relationship between the two countries. Vietnam U19s to play Japan, Saudi Arabia in friendly tournament
Vietnam’s U19 team are set to host Japan, Myanmar, and Saudi Arabia in an international U19 tournament which is scheduled to take place in the southern province of Binh Duong from August 5 to August 11. The competition will see four teams play in a round-robin format, with the first and second-placed teams progressing to the final match. The two remaining teams will then play against each other for the third-placed position. All fixtures in the competition will be held at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on August 5, August 7, August 9, and August 11, respectively. The tournament will be organised after the 2022 AFF U19 Youth Championship due to run between July 2 and July 15, and before the AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers due to run from September 14 to September 18. Australia’s new foreign minister to visit Vietnam
Coming at the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, she is expected to hold discussions on fostering the Vietnam-Australia strategic partnership and the ASEAN-Australia comprehensive strategic partnership, and regional and global issues of mutual interest, foreign ministry spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said. Australia launches plastics innovation hub in Vietnam
