The HCM City Department of Tourism has proposed opening helicopter tours to see the city from above. Under the department’s recommendation sent to the municipal people’s committee, the helicopter service will operate until December with flights three days per week. Passengers on a helicopter tour in HCM City On the recent Reunification Day and May Day, the department co-operated with Military Hospital 175 and the Southern Vietnam Helicopter Company to pilot five helicopter tours carrying 80 passengers. More than 200 other passengers have also booked tours with HCM City’s travel firms. These are some RoK tour groups arriving in Da Nang post- COVID-19 . They are with travel companies and taking part in a business trip to meet Vietnamese partners in the city to develop new tourism products in an attempt to attract more RoK tourists to Vietnam. In 2019, prior to COVID-19, Da Nang welcomed nearly 1.8 million tourists from the RoK, arriving on more than 200 flights a week. Only Incheon - Da Nang flights have resumed so far, with 6 flights a week.
