In an official dispatch, the ministry said as of May 16, some 217 million of vaccine doses had been administered in the country, including more than 2.5 million for children of the 5 - under 12 age group . Vietnam issues 14 million ‘COVID-19 vaccine passports’
The Vietnamese Ministry of Health has issued 14 million ‘COVID-19 vaccine passports’ to the general public since April 15. A month after its official rollout, the passport is now available on the national COVID-19 app PC-Covid and the Digital Health app. It has 11 fields of information: name, date of birth, nationality, the targeted disease, doses of vaccines received, date of vaccination, lot number of the vaccine batch, type of vaccine, vaccine product received, the vaccine manufacturer, and a code for the certification. Information on the targeted disease, vaccine, vaccine product or manufacturer is compatible with the values provided in the World Health Organization’s 'COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker and Landscape' and the 'Value Sets for EU Digital COVID Certificates' issued by the European Union. HCMC plans to provide fourth Covid-19 vaccine dose

HCM City prepares to give 4th COVID vaccine shot
HCM City locals vulnerable to COVID will be able to receive their fourth vaccine shots soon. – VNA Photo Hoàng Tuyết HCM CITY – HCM City has announced plans to give a second COVID-19 booster shot (fourth dose) to vulnerable people. They will be given to immunocompromised people, those aged over 50 and people who are at risk of exposure to the virus like frontline healthcare workers. The inoculation will begin as soon as the vaccines are received from the Ministry of Health. Pfizer, Moderna and AstraZeneca vaccines will be used, and the recommendation is that the fourth dose should be the same as the third. Three children aged 4-6 drown in southern Vietnam
Three children aged four to six drowned after falling into a pond while playing near their homes in Binh Phuoc Province, southern Vietnam on Monday morning, local authorities confirmed later the same day. The authorities handed over the bodies of the victims, including six-year-old D.V.T., four-year-old D.V.T, and four-year-old B.T.B.N., to their families on Monday afternoon. Tran Dai Lam, a 40-year-old local resident, had seen the three children heading toward his house’s pond, which is about three meters deep and 50 meters wide, at around 10:00 am on the day, but he was busy and did not follow up with checking on the kids. It was not until around one hour and a half later that Lam noticed two pairs of child footwear next to the pond.
