Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Saturday met with U.S. President Joe Biden and his counterparts from other countries at an expanded summit of the Group of Seven (G7) countries in Japan. The Vietnamese Cabinet leader told President Biden that the Vietnam-U.S. bilateral ties have increasingly shown positive signs, with economic and trade cooperation being the focus. Vietnam, Japan ink ODA deals worth US$442 million
Japan is now the largest ODA partner to Vietnam. Vietnam and Japan on May 21 signed three agreements worth 61 billion yen (US$442 million) to finance official development assistance (ODA) projects in Vietnam.
