The festival is organized by the Hanoi municipal Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Center, as part of the activities in response to Vietnam’s hosting of SEA Games 31. The event aims to popularize Hanoi capital as a safe, friendly, quality, and attractive destination and values of Vietnam’s cuisine and handicraft villages to both domestic and international visitors. Through varied activities, the festival is expected the help tourists learn more about Hanoi’s handicraft villages, including Bat Trang Ceramic Village, Van Phuc Silk Village, Phu Vinh Bamboo and Rattan Village, Quat Dong Embroidery Craft Village, and Chuon Ngo Mosaic Village, among others. Hanoi Gift Show 2015
PANO – The Hanoi Gift Show 2015 will be held at the Vietnam Exhibition and Fair Center (148 Giang Vo Street, Hanoi), as announced at a press conference on July 21. According to the organizing panel, around 600 booths from more than 200 businesses and production units in 30 provinces and cities nationwide, such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Thua Thien-Hue, Da Nang city, and Nghe An, are joining the event. Young lifter Rahmat Erwin Abdullah of Indonesia won a gold medal and broke a Games record in the men's 73kg. The 21-year-old athlete succeeded with a 155kg lift in the snatch. This record is also a personal record for Erwin. His previous heaviest lift was a significantly lighter 145kg . Moving on to the clean and jerk class, Erwin almost immediately beat his competitors at the first opportunity, immediately lifting 180kg. This again surpassed the SEA Games record of 177kg. Erwin increased his burden further to 190kg and managed it perfectly on the second attempt. Erwin lifted a huge 345kg in total. The bronze in the event went to two pairs from Vietnam. In the women’s individual event, the final match was between Anchisa Chanta and Luksika Kumkhum, both from Thailand. Luksika Kumkhum beat Anchisa Chanta 2-1 to win gold. The bronze medal was shared by Vietnam’s Chanelle Van Nguyen and Alexander Eala from the Philippines. Muhammad Osamanmusa opened the score for Thailand in the 2nd minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match, Peerapat Kaewwilai broke Vietnam 's net again, bringing the 2nd goal for Thailand, setting a 2-0 score in the first half. In the second half, with the enthusiastic support of thousands of spectators, the Vietnamese futsal players intensified their attacks and created many scoring opportunities, but they all failed to get the ball into Thailand's net. The Thai side created a lot of pressure for Vietnamese players but no more goals were scored in the second half. The match ended with a score of 2 - 0 in favour of Thailand. Viettel and Khanh Hoa sign cooperation agreement on digital transformation
According to the agreement, Viettel will give support and advice to help the province in carrying out digital transformation and build telecommunications infrastructure and install 5G network. The military business will also introduce some solutions and technologies to assist the southern central locality in upgrading and developing databases and digital platforms. Viettel will also give advice and support to the provincial People’s committee to develop digital government; introduce some digital transformation solutions to tourism, transportation, agriculture, postal services, and e-commerce; propose smart platforms for healthcare, education, tourism. The silver in the event went to Phoo War of Myanmar and the bronze was shared by Chankanika (Cambodia) and Wetan (Indonesia). In other events the same day, a group of four Vietnamese Vovinam artists claimed one silver in weapon self-defence for man, with the gold belonging to Myanmar and the bronze shared by Cambodia and Indonesia. In women’s Yin Yang sword, Manik Wetan (Indonesia) pocketed gold, Aung May of Myanmar won silver and Vietnam’s Nguyen Thi Ngoc Tram shared bronze with Pov Sokha from Cambodia. In the only fighting event during the day, Chiphouthong from Cambodia beat Basanio of the Philippines to win gold.
