President-elect Donald Trump has picked retired Marine Gen. John Kelly to head the Department of Homeland Security in his new administration. Gen. Kelly would become the second retired Marine general to join Mr. Trump’s cabinet. Both he and retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, the choice for Defence Secretary, must be confirmed by the Senate. Kelly said that he has "been asked and would consider it an honour”. John Kelly, who served nearly 46 years in the Marine Corps, is the highest-ranking American military official. Several security researchers and Western intelligence officers say they believe the malware, widely known as Turla, is the work of the Russian government and linked to the same software used to launch a massive breach on the U.S. military uncovered in 2008.
