A handicapped Vietnamese man has spent the last 10 years teaching other disadvantaged children art and music at a center for the disabled so as to improve their conditions and help them recognize the most basic objects around them. Truong Tan Dung, 37, is currently a teacher at a center for Agent Orange-infected and disadvantaged children in the central city of Da Nang. At the center, he is not only the teacher of a class with 15 most serious cases of the facility, but he is also in charge of maintaining and managing its equipment and computers. Vietnam’s Long Thanh int’l airport project probably behind schedule again
Phase one of the Long Thanh International Airport project in Dong Nai Province, southern Vietnam may miss the deadline to be put into service in 2025, as lots of work for the first phase is being carried out at a snail’s pace, especially the selection of a capable contractor to build its passenger terminal. Experts in the field said this project falling behind schedule would make Tan Son Nhat International Airport in neighboring Ho Chi Minh City even more overwhelmed by a soaring number of air passengers and result in a large amount of opportunity cost for economic growth. Hanoi to train 14,700 workers in less than three months
All apprentices must be at least 15 years of age and have educational and health qualifications appropriate to the trade they are learning. Hanoi has drawn up a plan to train 14,720 workers in less than three months by 2023, including women, rural workers, people with disabilities, and young people doing their military service. The plan aims to help raise the proportion of educated workers to 73.2%, of which the share of workers with degrees and certificates will reach at least 52.5%. Accordingly, the Hanoi People’s Committee will support elementary-level training for eleven groups of workers in 78 occupations in the 2023-2025 period. The capital city has also set a target of training more than 21,000 people at the primary level by the end of 2023, of which over 9,000 will be trained in non-agricultural occupations and around 12,000 in agricultural occupations. 'Pho Xua He Cu' (Old Streets and Sidewalks) is the name of the solo exhibition in Hanoi that attracted the attention of many viewers because of the artist behind it: 18-year-old Tran Nam Long, who is hearing-impaired and suffers from severe attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Vietnamese, Dutch localities step up cooperation
As part of the North Brahant province, Oss city is strong in industrial production and traditional agriculture with pastures and farms that operate under a closed-loop system, from animal husbandry to the processing of meat, eggs, and dairy products in service of local residents. Despite its small size, Oss still has a nature reserve, modern production, and a farming area, which create a harmonious overall picture. The ambassador visited a farm run by a young couple who inherited it from the previous generation. They employ 55 workers and raise 350 milch cows. Their products are sold in a fairly large store. The farm also has a daycare center for their workers' children who are exposed to cattle, hay, and grass from a young age.
