Vietnam’s U19 team are set to host Japan, Myanmar, and Saudi Arabia in an international U19 tournament which is scheduled to take place in the southern province of Binh Duong from August 5 to August 11. The competition will see four teams play in a round-robin format, with the first and second-placed teams progressing to the final match. The two remaining teams will then play against each other for the third-placed position. All fixtures in the competition will be held at 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on August 5, August 7, August 9, and August 11, respectively. The tournament will be organised after the 2022 AFF U19 Youth Championship due to run between July 2 and July 15, and before the AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers due to run from September 14 to September 18. National women’s football team leaves for training in France

Head coach Mai Duc Chung said he is satisfied with the training results of the whole team so far. A total of 25 players are heading for the training in France and the AFF tournament. Vietnam leaps up global quality of life ranking
Vietnam earned a score of 78.49 to rank 62 out of 165 countries and territories included in 2021 World’s Best Countries For Quality of Life recently released, moving up its ranking of 101st out of 171 countries in the previous edition. The ranking was determined based on 10 key categories: affordability, economic stability, family-friendly, a good job market, income equality, political neutrality & stability, safety, cultural influence, well-developed public education system and well-developed public health system. Each attribute was graded on a 100-point scale. Compared to Southeast Asia peers, Vietnam lags behind Singapore (19th place), Thailand (38th), the Philippines (39th), Malaysia (41st) and Indonesia (58th), though ranking above Myanmar (101st), Cambodia (111th) and Timor-Leste (149th). Vietnam draw against hosts Indonesia in opener at Southeast Asian U19 championship
Vietnam had a 0-0 draw against hosts Indonesia in their group-stage opener at the 2022 AFF U-19 Youth Championship on Saturday evening. The match took place at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium in West Java, Indonesia at 8:30 pm on Saturday (Vietnam time). Both teams chose to carry out their offensive tactics with multiple attacks staged in the first minutes of the match. The Vietnamese boys gained the upper hand from the outset, forcing their opponents to commit many fouls as they tried to stop them. Indonesia had a close shot in the 27th minute, but the ball was eventually blocked by Vietnamese goalie Cao Van Binh. Toward the end of the first half, Nguyen Dinh Bac had an opportunity to open the scoring for Vietnam after surpassing two Indonesian players, but the ball ended up hitting the bar.
