Vietnam train in Japan ahead of 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers
The Vietnam U20 side players arrived in Japan on August 14 after a night flight for a training camp ahead of their Group F qualifying clashes of the 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup. Players of the Vietnam U20 side have arrived in Japan for training ahead of the 2023 AFC U20 Asian Cup qualifiers. Coach Dinh The Nam is expected to give his students physical and technical exercises during their two-week training there. The Vietnam U20 side are scheduled to play three friendlies against the Japan U19 side on August 17, the Cezero Osaka U18 FC on August 22 and the Osaka Sangyo University FC on August 25. World Cup winner to coach Vietnamese national futsal team
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) announced Diego Raul Giustozzi, a futsal World Cup winning coach, as the new head coach of the Vietnamese national futsal team at a ceremony held on August 9 in Hanoi. Diego Raul Giustozzi, a futsal World Cup winning coach, (third from left) is appointed as the new head coach of the Vietnamese national futsal team. Giustozzi, 44, is a former futsal player for Argentina who began a professional coaching career in the sport in 2013. His most notable success was leading Argentina to victory at the 2016 Futsal World Cup in Colombia after beating Russia 5-4 in the final. Coincidently, Vietnam first competed in the finals of the 2016 Futsal World Cup in Colombia where they made it to the quarter-final stage. Vietnam’s futsal team has new coach
Raul, of Argentine nationality and born in 1978, led his native country to win the 2016 Futsal World Cup in Colombia. He is contracted to lead the Vietnamese team from August 1, 2022 to September 30, 2024. In recent years, Vietnamese futsal has made strong developments, participating in the FIFA Futsal World Cup in Colombia in 2016. Russian-Vietnamese goalkeeper returns to domestic league on three-year contract
Russian-born goalkeeper Dang Van Lam will compete for Topenland Binh Dinh FC in Vietnam’s top-tier V-League 1 following the two sides’ deal signing, the football club announced on Monday afternoon. The contract will last for three years. While Lam’s salary was kept undisclosed, sources told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper that the payment is not less than US$300,000 a year.
