Viet Nam will be an effective location for American investors, and it is creating the most favorable conditions for foreign firms in the country. Such was the message delivered to U.S businesses and financial service providers by visiting Vietnamese President Nguyen Minh Triet at a meeting in New York on Tuesday. "Viet Nam should no longer be synonymous with war but viewed as one of Southeast Asia's most vibrant countries and economies," he said. The meeting, entitled "Financial Investment in Viet Nam," was jointly organized by the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the American Insurance Group (AIG) and the Credit Suisse Group.
