Vietnamese travelers are in the top 3 most ready to travel again in APAC
According to the Travel Confidence Index commissioned by leading online travel company Booking.com, which polled 11,000 travelers from 11 countries and territories¹ across Asia and Oceania between April and May 2022, Vietnam emerged as the second most confident with 85 percent of Vietnamese travelers stating they intend to travel in the next 12 months; second to India (86 percent) and followed by China (79 percent). This indicates that among APAC travelers, Vietnamese were one of the most willing travelers to put up with and/or overlook key travel deterrents in order to hit the road - which included enduring disruptions and travel costs; as well as confidence with their home countries/territories in receiving inbound travelers. Vietnamese second most confident in Asia-Pacific about post-pandemic travel: survey
Vietnam is only behind India (86 percent), according to the Travel Confidence survey by American online travel agency Booking.com that polled 11,000 travelers in 11 countries and territories across the region between April and May. China, one of the few places in the world sticking to a zero-Covid policy, came third, followed by Australia and New Zealand. The survey found 62 percent of Vietnamese tourists plan to make one to two trips this year and 45 percent wish to visit famous tourist destinations near Vietnam with a three-to-eight-hour flight time. A total 82 percent of surveyed Vietnamese respondents said they felt happy as Vietnam reopened its border to international tourism and lifted most Covid travel restrictions. An Giang Province in southern Vietnam looks to make trekking a major part of tourism plan
Tourism authorities in An Giang Province are exploring ways to include trekking in the Bay Nui Mountain region – a new hotspot for trekkers from across Vietnam – in its tourism strategy. Bay Nui (Seven Mountains) is a range of small mountains located in Tri Ton and Tinh Bien Districts, An Giang Province, near the border with Cambodia. At 716 meters above sea level and 7,500 meters in diameter, Cam Mountain is the largest in the Bay Nui mountain range. The Cam Mountain Tourist Site Management Board and the An Giang Trade and Investment Promotion Center are working together to develop and test sports tourism in the Bay Nui area, which they hope will attract visitors looking for tours that involve walking, sightseeing, and enjoying local cuisine. Vietnam, RoK seek to foster cooperation in MICE tourism

The event drew representatives from 25 travel agencies, localities and businesses from the Republic of Korea (RoK), Vietnamese tourism management agencies and more than 50 travel firms in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The RoK is one of the major tourism markets of Vietnam. In 2019 before COVID-19 broke out, Vietnam welcomed about 4.3 million Korean tourists, up 23.1 percent over the previous year, making the RoK the second largest tourism market of Vietnam. Vietnam ranks amongst most optimistic tourism communities in Asia-Pacific
Vietnam was recently named amongst the top three Asia-Pacific countries where people have regained their confidence in travel. According to the Travel Confidence Index, a report commissioned by leading online travel company Booking.com, the Vietnamese population is the second most confident in travel, with 85 percent of Vietnamese travelers sharing that they intend to travel at some point in the next 12 months. Vietnam’s travel firms see explosion of summer tours
Although the summer holiday has just started, travel firms and agents have already completed 60-70 percent of their business plan while air carriers have also increased their flights to meet high travel demand.
