The Party and Government will put concrete policies in place to push investment in the country's north-western region, especially in developing transport and communications and providing credit for industrial crop cultivation, thus creating jobs for local people. The statement was made by Deputy Prime Minister Truong Vinh Trong, head of the steering committee for the north-west region, while talking with a Vietnam News Agency reporter during his working trip to Muong Nhe district, Dien Bien province. The quality of human resources remains a major issue that influences the country's socioeconomic development. (VEN) - The information technology (IT) sector is in extreme need of human resources although there are tens of thousands of IT graduates annually. Especially, high-tech parks in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) will need thousands of IT workers during the 2012-2015 period. According to Chu Tien Dung, chairman of the board members of the Quang Trung Software Park Development Company, IT work forces are currently divided into two types: corporate and non-corporate human resources. The former is qualified while the latter is not and difficult to meet the requirements of IT companies. New IT graduates belong to the second type, with language limitations.
