The delegation spends a total of 12 hard days between January 14 and January 25 attempting to reach four DK1 platforms. Whilst DK1/15 platform couldn’t be reached due to dangerous conditions, best wishes for the New Year were sent to soldiers through the information system. Delegates present gifts from the Ministry of Defense, businesses, and individuals to soldiers who are on duty on DK1 offshore platforms. Some of the gifts given to soldiers include apricot branches, kumquat trees, food, candy, cakes, sticky rice, and La Dong, also known as Dong leaves, which can be used to wrap Chung cake, a typical delicacy during Tet. Veteran and young actors of HCM City’s Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theatre will perform in the new version of the famous play Nàng Xê Đa (Xê Đa), a production about love and betrayal. Performances will be held every night during the Tet (Lunar New Year) holiday which begins on February 12.
