A contest about Vietnam’s history of patriotic traditions is launched The contest is organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Education and Times newspaper will carry out it. This is an activity under the Prime Minister's Project on supporting information and propaganda on ethnicity and religion. Contest entrants are education administrators, teachers, and employees who have been working in the education sector and students and parents nationwide who are interested in the contest. Carriers add flights to summer holiday roster
Vietnam Airlines Group said it plans to provide 32,400 domestic flights between June and August during the peak summer travel season, up 10 percent against the same period in 2019, the year before the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic. There would be 160 daily flights connecting Vietnam’s three biggest cities Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang. It will also operate over 3,600 international flights during the period, 40 percent of pre-pandemic time. Vietravel Airlines said it will increase the frequency of flights from Hanoi to HCMC and Da Nang by two a day from June. Air tickets for domestic routes between June and August are nearly fully booked. The carrier also plans to launch charter flights from HCMC to Jakarta and Can Tho to Bangkok, but the schedule has not been determined. Opportunities for e-commerce in Vietnam to boom

Keeping the growth momentum, Vietnam is now one of the countries with the largest e-commerce market size in the region, besides Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia. Vietnam's internet economy in 2021 grew by 31 percent compared to 2020 and reached a scale of $21 billion. The pandemic has pushed forward the trends of e-commerce in Vietnam 2-3 years earlier than forecast with the sector growing in size four times over last year, according to a 2021 Lazada report. “Some of the e-commerce trends we expected would happen in 2025, such as in edutech and fintech, have already happened in 2022,” noted Nguyen Huy Hoang, chief business officer at OnPoint E-commerce. “Hence, all e-commerce platform companies are investing hugely in Vietnam.” However, as shopping centres and small brick-and-mortar stores are now reopened, many investors are concerned that the boom in e-commerce was just a short-term fad and the majority of consumers could quickly shift back to offline shopping. Huge haul in new markets for Vietnam’s tra fish exports
Tra fish exports are projected to surge a whopping 97 percent year-on-year in the first five months of 2022, reaching 1.1 billion USD. Besides exporting to traditional markets such as the U.S. and Europe, seafood exporters have expanded markets to take advantage of the new demand. Specifically, Vietnam has trolled new fish markets in Mexico, Egypt and Thailand. VASEP expert Ta Ha said that the Mexico market has the largest export value in the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) trade bloc. Tra fish sales to Mexico topped 50 million USD in the first five months of this year, an increase of 70 percent against last year’s figure. Shipments to Thailand hit nearly 50 million USD during the period, a year-on-year spike of 80 percent. Vietnam exported over 15 million USD worth of tra fish to Egypt, up 85 percent year-on-year.
