The increase in online transactions in Vietnam during the pandemic has facilitated the proliferation of phishing with pages impersonating popular payment systems such as Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, and more. The percentages are from anonymised data based on the triggering of the deterministic component in the Kaspersky’s Anti-Phishing system on user computers. The delta, the country’s largest rice, fruit and seafood producer, is affected by saltwater intrusion from the sea up rivers every year in the dry season. Nguyen Hieu Trung, deputy rector of Can Tho University, said the delta has been affected by climate change in recent years, especially by drought and worsening saltwater intrusion which cause severe damage to agriculture. He immediately got dressed and 10 minutes later was on the scene to give first aid to a victim. Luân, 23, is a member of the Free Aid Support team "FAS Angel", established three years ago, which provides first aid to traffic victims, day or night. Financial startup Anfin raises $4.8 mln
It was led by angel investor Clement Benoit and U.S.-based startup accelerator Y Combinator. The money will be used to improve its app by building a social network in it so users can share their investment knowledge. Anfin was launched in October last year and has raised around $7 million to date. Its app allows users to invest as little as VND10,000. Its CEO, Phuoc Tran, said the app has over 100,000 active accounts with a total transaction value of $10 million. Benoit said creating a product that serves many groups of people in society is the right move in a big market such as Asia. He hoped the company would branch out to other countries and succeed in its social investing business model. Ho Chi Minh City racks up $344,200 loss from on-street car parking fee collection
Voluntary Youth Public Benefit Service Co. Ltd., which is tasked with collecting fees for on-street car parking in Ho Chi Minh City, recently announced that its fee collection arm reported a VND8 billion (US$344,200) loss in 2021. A financial statement by the company showed that its revenue from the fee collection was more than VND2 billion ($85,900) last year, a figure which pales in comparison to the firm’s VND10 billion ($429,400) in fee collection costs, including staff salaries and software rentals. The company announced it would use revenues from other business activities to compensate for the loss. The first Southeast Asian outdoor astronomy park located in Hanoi is nearing completion after five years of construction. Located in Duong Noi urban area in Ha Dong District, Hanoi, Astronomy Park is an outdoor public project for outer space lovers.
