According to the Export-Import Department under the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the country shipped 241.42 billion USD worth of goods abroad between January and November, up 7.8 percent from the previous year. That included 74.72 billion USD exported by domestic businesses and 166.7 billion USD (including crude oil) from foreign invested firms, rising 18.1 percent and 3.8 percent, respectively. The domestic sector’s proportion of total export revenues also increased to 30.95 percent from 29.16 percent. Telecom firms expect competitive pressure from EU trade deal
Cautious control Currently, the scale of telecommunication services that Vietnam has committed to open up under EVFTA is similar to its commitments as a member state of the World Trade Organization (WTO). However, the commitment levels in the new trade deal are wider in some services, especially value-added telecommunications services that do not use internet infrastructure. The Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) Tao Quang Phong said cautious control is required in implementing Vietnam’s telecommunications commitments under EVFTA because they are closely associated with information security and have direct, immediate impact on all socioeconomic activities. New regulation for school milk programme

It will come into play in January. The sterilised milk must ensure the national technology norms based on the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s regulations, the decision said. The 21 micronutrients must follow regulated amount, including vitamin A, E, C, acid folic and magnesium. The school milk programme was approved by Prime Minister Nguyễn Xuân Phúc in July 2016. Two months later, the Ministry of Health issued a temporary regulation for the programme, but did not mention clearly the amount of micronutrients.
